污染英语作文

Alright let's start by talking about how bad pollution is these days. You know everyone's talking about it but not really doing much. Like I mean we all know smoking is bad but still people light up everywhere. You see those black smog in the sky right? It's like a灰色 blanket covering the whole city. Last summer I had to wear a mask just to go outside for five minutes. It was so thick the sun looked like a red circle through the haze.

Now let's get into the different types of pollution. Air pollution's the worst for sure. Factories are spitting out smoke 24/7 and cars are adding to it. I remember reading that in some cities the air quality index goes up to 500 which is like ten times worse than safe levels. But people don't care they just keep breathing it in. Oh and don't even get me started on plastic bags. Every market I go to they're giving out those thin plastic ones like it's nothing. We used to use cloth bags but now it's all about convenience.

Water pollution's another big issue. You see those rivers turning colors you can't even look at. Last year there was a video going viral of a fish market where all the fish were floating dead. The water was so toxic it killed everything. And what about the oceans? Those plastic islands in the middle of nowhere are huge now. I think they're bigger than some countries. People throw trash into the ocean thinking it'll just disappear but it stays there for centuries.

So what's causing all this mess? Well industries are the main culprits. They don't care about the environment they just want to make money. Like a factory owner told me once "环保 costs money we can't afford it". But that's lie because they're actually losing money in the long run from health problems and fines. Then there's the government's fault too. They make weak laws and don't enforce them properly. I mean how many times have we seen a factory get a warning letter and then keep polluting? It's like a never-ending cycle.

Individual actions matter too though. We all contribute to pollution in small ways. Like using plastic bottles every day or driving instead of taking public transport. But most people don't realize their impact. I tried counting how much plastic I used last month and it was crazy. Just water bottles and packaging. But if everyone did the same imagine the difference. We could start by using reusable items and cycling more. It's simple stuff but adds up.

There are some positive changes happening though. Young people are leading the charge now. They start environmental groups and protest against companies. I saw a group of students clean up a riverbank last weekend. They collected like 200 kg of garbage in just three hours. That's impressive. Also more companies are using green technology. Solar panels on buildings and electric buses are becoming common. It shows that profit and planet can coexist.

But there's still a long way to go. The pollution isn't getting better it's getting worse. Last month the air quality was worse than ever and the government still hasn't done anything. We need stricter laws and better enforcement. People need to be educated too. Maybe schools should include environmental studies in the curriculum. If kids learn early they'll grow up to care more.

In conclusion pollution is a huge problem that affects everyone. It's caused by industries governments and individuals. But there's hope if we all take action. Small changes like using reusable bags and cycling can make a big difference. Governments need to enforce stricter laws and companies should invest in green tech. Young people especially need to keep pushing for change. We can't wait for someone else to fix it we have to do it ourselves. Let's start today before it's too late.
